*Prior to painting larger pieces require construction of frames. After a frame is constructed canvas must be stretched upon the frame. Three to four coats of gesso primer is then applied to the canvas with 24 hour dry time and sanding between each coat. Due their size they often require two individuals to handle and are considerably more labor intensive in preparation as well as in their eventual creation.
